Spring storm is a deep fragrant scent, with almost spicy and electrical notes weaved through. This scent is inspired by dark and strong spring storms, full of exciting potential. This incense blend I made as a counter spell to the pervasive image of spring as nothing but pastel and softness and cuteness. There is a wild and raw potential to this season, a chance to upset the balance of what was and create something new entirely.  

This loose incense blend is absolutely banging for witches, mystics and the otherwise esoteric curious folk looking to call upon ancient wild energies to invite in the new and reshape the old. This scent is for those who find calmness in the midst of a storm or who find themselves energised by the thunder and lightning. It is for those unafraid of the dark clouds and pulling winds. Unafraid of spring’s breath of life.

Concoction

This loose incense is a blend of exciting and spicy herbs and spices, like ginger, cardamon, black pepper and pink pepper (fun fact, pink pepper is actually a berry). Woodsy herbs like plantain and witch hazel conjure images of stormy winds carrying over scents. The styrax resin gives this blend a deep scent.

Ritual

Burning loose incense is a beautiful little ritual that seamlessly slots into almost any spiritual or witchcraft practice. It is a great starting point for those wanting to invite more tethering rituals into their lives.

The very best experience with a loose incense mix is when you burn it on an incense burner, adding small pinches at a time. Allow the herbs and resins to slowly smoulder and release their scent. Top up whenever you desire another infusion of scent into the air.

Specifications

  • Your incense blend comes in a glass jar with black metal lid. 
  • All herbs used in this mixture are ecologically and locally grown.
  • Approx 160ml, which is enough for hours and hours of incense burning. A jar usually lasts me a few months with almost daily burning.
  • Please always make sure to burn your incense in a well ventilated space and keep some distance between yourself and the smoke. Inhaling smoke is never good for you or your pets. Burning incense is about the scent, not the smoke.
